TERMS OF USE
The Vent Haus LLC
Effective Date: October 10, 2026, Last Updated: October 10, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to, and use of the website or websites operated by The Vent Haus LLC (the “Website”), the telephone and video-based listening services offered by The Vent Haus LLC, and related content and features (collectively, the “Services”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Services.
IMPORTANT SERVICE NOTICE
The Vent Haus provides nonclinical listening and emotional support to adults aged 18 and over. Listening sessions are generally limited to participants physically located in the United States, subject to the limited temporary travel exception described in Section 5. The Services are not therapy, mental health treatment, crisis intervention, or emergency services. For an emergency, contact the local emergency services where you are physically located. If you are in the United States, call 911 for emergencies or call or text 988 for suicidal or emotional crisis support.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Services. You agree to them when, after being given a reasonable opportunity to review them, you expressly accept them in writing or electronically, or take a booking or payment action clearly identified as acceptance. If you do not agree, do not book or use a listening session.
Acceptance may be given through a clearly labeled booking control, an electronic signature, or an express written reply to a message that provides these Terms. If the booking platform does not provide a dedicated acceptance checkbox, we may make these Terms available by link or electronic message before booking confirmation and identify the booking, payment, or written response that constitutes acceptance. A material term is not intended to bind you unless you were given a reasonable opportunity to review it before the action identified as acceptance. Merely receiving an automated booking message does not, by itself, show that you agreed.
If you book for another adult, you must have authority to make the booking and use the payment method. The person attending must independently satisfy Section 5 and have an opportunity to review and accept these Terms. Booking on another person’s behalf does not authorize participation by a minor.
2. Nature of the Services
The Vent Haus LLC (“The Vent Haus,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides nonclinical listening and emotional support sessions through telephone and video communications. The Services are intended to provide a respectful, attentive, and nonjudgmental space in which you may speak, vent, express emotions, discuss day-to-day concerns, and feel heard.
The Services may include general support, encouragement, reflective conversation, and general wellness-oriented or motivational discussion. They are not designed, offered, or represented as psychotherapy, mental health counseling, diagnosis, treatment, medical care, crisis intervention, emergency response, or any other licensed professional service.
3. No Medical, Mental Health, Legal, Financial, or Other Licensed Professional Services
The Vent Haus is not a healthcare provider, mental health practice, medical practice, law firm, financial advisory firm, crisis hotline, or emergency-response provider. Persons providing the Services are not acting as licensed therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, mental health counselors, social workers, attorneys, financial advisers, or other licensed professionals in providing the Services.
The Services do not include diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, clinical counseling, medical or medication advice, legal advice, financial advice, or professional assessment of any medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other condition or matter.
Your use of the Services does not create a therapist-patient, mental health counselor-client, physician-patient, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other licensed professional relationship with The Vent Haus or any person providing the Services.
If you need medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other professional advice, evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment, consult an appropriately qualified and licensed professional.
4. Emergencies and Crisis Situations
The Services are not a crisis hotline, suicide-prevention service, emergency service, or substitute for emergency or crisis care. The Vent Haus does not provide continuous monitoring and does not guarantee that it will identify, assess, intervene in, or respond to an emergency or crisis situation.
If you or another person is in immediate danger, is experiencing a medical emergency, or may imminently harm themselves or someone else, contact the emergency services available where that person is physically located. If you are in the United States, call 911 for emergencies or call or text 988 for suicidal or emotional crisis support. If we have approved a temporary travel session outside the United States, you remain responsible for knowing and using the emergency and crisis resources available in the country where you are located.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Vent Haus may take steps it reasonably considers appropriate if information provided during use of the Services indicates an imminent safety concern, including ending a session, suggesting appropriate crisis resources, or making a lawful safety disclosure. Nothing in these Terms creates a contractual promise of continuous monitoring, emergency intervention, or a particular outcome, or excludes a duty imposed by law or arising from actions actually undertaken.
5. Eligibility, Age, and Geographic Availability
Adults only. Listening sessions are available only to persons who are at least eighteen (18) years old and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms. By booking or participating, you confirm that you satisfy both requirements. Persons under eighteen may not book or participate, even with parental or guardian permission.
The Website and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. Any future decision to serve minors will require a separate policy update and an appropriate consent and safeguarding process before that access begins.
United States availability and temporary travel. Listening sessions are generally offered only to eligible adults physically located in the United States when each session takes place. This is a location requirement, not a citizenship or residency requirement. U.S. citizenship, U.S. residence, or prior use of the Services does not automatically make a person eligible to participate while abroad. However, we may, in our discretion, approve a session for an existing client who previously received the Services while physically located in the United States and is temporarily traveling outside the United States, after we consider the destination and applicable legal and operational requirements. Any approval must be confirmed by us in writing before the session and applies only to the approved session or temporary travel period.
Travel and location confirmation. You must tell us before a session if you will be outside the United States. We may ask you to confirm the country and, where relevant, state or other jurisdiction where you will participate and whether your presence there is temporary. You must provide accurate information and notify us if your location changes. We may decline, cancel, reschedule, or end a session if you do not meet the eligibility requirements, if temporary international participation has not been approved, or if we determine that applicable legal or operational requirements make the session inappropriate or impracticable. Section 7 addresses refunds for eligibility-based cancellations.
The Website’s accessibility, an automated booking message, acceptance of payment, or approval of a particular temporary travel session does not make the Services generally available in another country or waive mandatory legal protections. A temporary travel approval is not a representation that the Services comply with every law of the country involved and does not create a right to future sessions there. We may withdraw or restrict temporary travel availability when reasonably necessary to comply with law or manage legal, privacy, safety, technical, or operational risk.
6. Booking, Payment, and Confirmation
All fees must be paid in full as part of the booking process unless The Vent Haus expressly agrees otherwise in writing. A booking is not complete, and a session is not guaranteed until payment has been successfully received and the booking has been confirmed, subject to the eligibility and acceptance requirements in Sections 1 and 5.
You are responsible for providing accurate booking and payment information and for ensuring that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted.
Prices, available session types, and applicable fees will be disclosed on the Website or in the information provided before you book. Subject to applicable law, the price and booking terms disclosed and accepted at the time of booking govern that booking.
7. Cancellations, Rescheduling, No-Shows, and Refunds
You may cancel using a cancellation method identified in your booking information or by emailing the contact address in Section 25. The time we receive your cancellation is used to determine whether the twenty-four (24) hour threshold is met, based on the scheduled start time and time zone in your booking confirmation.
Cancellations made at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time of a session are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid for that session.
Cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time are subject to the applicable late cancellation fee listed below. The remaining balance will be refunded. A late cancellation fee will not exceed the amount paid for that session. The exceptions for a cancellation by The Vent Haus appear below.
Session & Late Cancellation Fees
The Mini Meltdown - $10
The Midday Mind Dump - $15
The Deep Vent - $25
The Rehearsal Vent - $35
The Vent Consultation is a free consultation and is not subject to the paid-session late cancellation fee schedule above. If we change a session name or a late cancellation fee for future bookings, the revised name or fee will apply prospectively after it is disclosed and becomes effective. A previously confirmed booking remains governed by the booking terms and fee schedule accepted for that booking, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Rescheduling. To request a reschedule, email theventhaus@gmail.com at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time and provide several alternative dates or times that work for you. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, subject to availability. A reschedule is not effective unless and until The Vent Haus confirms the new appointment time.
Late rescheduling requests. A request received less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time may be declined. Unless a new appointment time is confirmed by The Vent Haus, the original appointment remains scheduled. If you cancel the original appointment, the cancellation provisions in this Section apply. If you do not attend and do not provide prior notice, the no-show provision below applies. No separate late-rescheduling fee is created by this paragraph.
No-shows. If you miss a scheduled paid session without prior notice, you forfeit the full session fee and no refund is due for that missed session, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise. Because The Vent Consultation is free, no paid-session fee is forfeited for a missed consultation.
Eligibility and travel cancellations. If we cancel or decline a session because you do not meet the age or geographic requirements, cannot reasonably confirm eligibility, or we cannot approve or continue an international temporary travel session, we will refund the full session payment if the session has not begun. If we end a session for that reason after it begins, we will refund the amount attributable to the unused session time. No late cancellation fee applies to a cancellation we make solely on that basis.
Company cancellations. If we cannot provide a confirmed session for an operational reason, you may choose a mutually agreed replacement time or a refund for the session time not provided. A session we cancel before it begins will be refunded in full unless you choose to reschedule. No late cancellation fee applies to such a cancellation.
Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method and typically appear within five (5) to seven (7) business days after processing. Actual posting time may vary with the payment processor or financial institution. Nothing in these Terms limits a refund or payment-dispute right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Professional Boundaries and User Conduct
Sessions are professional interactions. Participation in the Services does not create or imply a personal, romantic, sexual, social, fiduciary, or other relationship outside the limited provision of the Services.
You agree to use the Services lawfully, respectfully, and only for their intended purpose. You may not:
• harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, abuse, exploit, or discriminate against a listener, employee, contractor, or other person;
• direct sexually explicit, obscene, violent, coercive, or threatening conduct toward a listener or other service provider;
• impersonate another person or materially misrepresent your identity, age, location, authority, or information;
• use the Services to facilitate unlawful activity, fraud, exploitation, or harm;
• interfere with, disrupt, damage, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, systems, accounts, or networks;
• scrape, crawl, use bots against, reverse engineer, or otherwise access the Website through unauthorized automated means;
• commercially exploit, resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized access to the Services;
• record, transcribe, capture, livestream, or distribute a session, or use a bot or AI meeting assistant to capture or summarize it, without our prior express permission and every consent required by law; or
• encourage or assist another person to engage in conduct prohibited by these Terms.
These conduct restrictions do not prevent you from discussing your own experience, seeking professional help, making a good faith complaint, reporting suspected wrongdoing, cooperating with authorities, or exercising a right that cannot lawfully be restricted. They do not transfer ownership of your personal experiences or statements to us.
The Vent Haus may end a session or refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Services when it reasonably believes that you have violated these Terms, failed to pay required amounts, created a safety concern, engaged in abusive or unlawful conduct, or otherwise misused the Services.
9. No Guarantee of Results
Experiences and outcomes from listening or emotional support conversations vary from person to person. The Vent Haus does not promise or guarantee any particular emotional, personal, professional, medical, psychological, financial, legal, or other result from your use of the Services.
10. Privacy, Confidentiality, and Session Recording
We treat your conversations with respect and restrict disclosure as explained below and in our Privacy Policy. The Services do not create the legal privilege associated with a therapist-patient, physician-patient, or attorney-client relationship. We do not promise absolute confidentiality or waive privacy protections that apply by law.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. It is made available in the Privacy Policy section or page of the Website and may also be requested using the contact details in Section 25. Please review it before providing personal information. Acceptance of these Terms is not a substitute for any separate privacy consent required by law.
We do not record listening sessions, create or retain transcripts of session conversations, or take routine notes of what you discuss. We do not use Zoom AI or other AI meeting tools to record, transcribe, summarize, or store listening-session conversations for us. The Vent Haus has configured Zoom AI features used for these purposes to be disabled for its account. You must follow the recording and AI restrictions in Section 8.
This policy concerns session content, not all information associated with a booking or communication. Contact details, appointment records, payment and refund records, written inquiries, and technical connection or security data may still be processed. Zoom and other technology providers must process information to deliver their services; our no-recording policy is not a promise that those providers process no data.
Information may be shared with service providers as needed to deliver the Services, with your authorization, to meet a legal obligation or valid legal demand, or when reasonably necessary and legally permitted to address a serious safety concern, fraud, or misuse. Any disclosure must remain consistent with applicable law and our Privacy Policy. Limited information may be retained when necessary to comply with a legal obligation or address a specific safety incident or dispute; this does not authorize routine conversation notes or session recording.
You are responsible for choosing a reasonably private environment for telephone or video sessions and for protecting the privacy of your device, account credentials, communications, and surroundings.
11. Intellectual Property and Limited License
The Website and materials made available by or on behalf of The Vent Haus, including text, graphics, logos, artwork, photographs, videos, audio, designs, compilations, branding, interfaces, and other materials (collectively, “Company Content”), are owned by or licensed to The Vent Haus and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Company Content does not include your personal information, personal experiences, or statements made during a session, and these Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to us.
Subject to these Terms, The Vent Haus grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and nonsublicensable license to access and use Company Content solely for your personal, noncommercial use of the Services.
Except as expressly permitted in writing, you may not reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, sell, license, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, scrape, extract, or commercially exploit Company Content.
The name “The Vent Haus,” associated logos, slogans, trade dress, and other source-identifying features may constitute trademarks or service marks of The Vent Haus, whether registered or unregistered. No license or right to use any such mark is granted except as expressly authorized in writing. The federal registration symbol ® may be used only for marks that are federally registered for the relevant goods or services.
12. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Restrictions
Except with The Vent Haus’s prior written permission, Company Content may not be copied, scraped, extracted, compiled, reproduced, or otherwise used to create, train, fine-tune, test, benchmark, validate, improve, or supply datasets for artificial intelligence systems, machine learning models, large language models, generative systems, or similar automated technologies.
This section does not restrict activity expressly authorized by The Vent Haus or activity that cannot lawfully be restricted under applicable law.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
We use GoDaddy for Website hosting, the website builder, appointment or booking functionality, GoDaddy Conversations for internal management of connected customer communications, and GoDaddy Payments to process customer payments. We use Zoom for online sessions, and the Website uses Google reCAPTCHA for security. At launch, we do not use the GoDaddy AI website chatbot or the separate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Tag, Google Tag Manager, or Google AdSense integrations. Those providers and features may have their own terms and privacy notices; their notices do not replace The Vent Haus's Privacy Policy.
We do not control third-party services and do not guarantee their uninterrupted availability or performance. You should review the notices applicable to services you use. A link or integration is not an endorsement unless expressly stated. This section does not exclude any responsibility imposed on us by law for our selection or use of providers or for information under our control.
14. Service Availability and Changes
The Vent Haus may modify, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or change all or part of the Services, available session types, features, operating hours, access methods, or geographic availability from time to time. The Vent Haus does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available access.
The location from which The Vent Haus personnel provide or administer the Services may vary. We may provide or administer Services while temporarily outside the United States only when we determine that doing so is lawful and operationally appropriate. The location of our personnel does not itself expand participant eligibility or make the Services generally available in that country. If applicable legal, privacy, safety, technical, or operational requirements prevent us from providing all or part of a confirmed session, the company-cancellation provisions in Section 7 apply. Changes to future availability do not retroactively remove an accrued refund right.
15. Disclaimers of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Website, Company Content, and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Vent Haus disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation, to the extent those warranties may lawfully be disclaimed.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, remedy, or protection that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Vent Haus and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenues, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity, arising out of or relating to the Website, Services, Company Content, or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of The Vent Haus for claims arising out of or relating to a particular paid session or transaction will not exceed the amount actually paid by you to The Vent Haus for the session or transaction giving rise to the claim.
This section does not exclude or limit liability for our fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. It does not reduce a refund expressly due under these Terms or waive any nonwaivable consumer right or remedy.
17. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Vent Haus and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable costs and expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the Services, your material violation of these Terms, or your infringement or violation of another person’s rights.
This obligation applies only to the extent the third-party claim is attributable to the conduct described above and does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence, wrongdoing, or liability that cannot lawfully be shifted to you. It does not apply merely because you make a good faith complaint or exercise your legal rights.
18. Suspension and Termination
The Vent Haus may refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Services, or end a session, when reasonably necessary to protect users, personnel, systems, or the business; comply with law; address nonpayment, fraud, or security concerns; respond to abusive or unsafe conduct; or enforce these Terms.
An eligibility-based or operational cancellation is subject to Section 7. Ending access does not itself create an additional cancellation charge or eliminate any refund or other right that applicable law requires.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that accrued before termination. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution, survive to the extent applicable.
19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent that mandatory law applicable to you requires otherwise.
Before filing a lawsuit, you and The Vent Haus are encouraged to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally through written notice describing the dispute and the requested resolution.
Subject to any nonwaivable right to bring a claim in another forum, a judicial proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services may be brought in a state or federal court of competent jurisdiction located in New York City, New York, and you and The Vent Haus consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from pursuing a claim in small claims court when jurisdictional requirements are satisfied or from seeking temporary or emergency judicial relief when legally available.
20. Changes to These Terms
The Vent Haus may update these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date. Where required by applicable law or where a change materially affects existing paid Services, The Vent Haus will provide additional notice or obtain additional consent as appropriate.
Changes apply prospectively from the effective date stated in the revised Terms. They do not retroactively change the price, cancellation terms, or rights attached to an existing booking without your legally effective agreement. Continued use constitutes acceptance only where notice and the method of assent are legally sufficient; where necessary, we will request renewed express acceptance.
21. Electronic Communications
When you provide electronic contact information or use an electronic booking process, you consent to receive agreements, notices, booking confirmations, disclosures, receipts, and other transactional communications electronically, subject to applicable law. You are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information.
22. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights to a booked session without The Vent Haus’s prior written consent. The Vent Haus may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale of assets, financing, or other lawful business transactions, subject to applicable law.
23. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
A failure or delay by The Vent Haus to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce that provision or any other provision later.
24. Entire Agreement
These Terms and the booking, payment, cancellation, rescheduling, no-show, and refund disclosures made available to you and accepted for a particular booking form the agreement governing that booking and your use of the Services.

PRIVACY POLICY
The Vent Haus LLC
Effective Date: October 10, 2026, Last Updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Vent Haus LLC (“The Vent Haus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through our website, booking communications, and nonclinical listening sessions (together, the “Services”). It covers information handled by us or on our behalf, not every independent activity of a third-party platform.
1. Our Services and Your Privacy
Listening sessions are generally offered only to adults aged eighteen (18) and over with legal capacity to agree to our Terms of Use who are physically located in the United States during their sessions. U.S. citizenship or residence alone does not make a person automatically eligible to participate while abroad. On a limited, case-by-case basis, we may approve an existing client who previously received the Services while physically located in the United States to continue sessions during temporary travel outside the United States, as described in our Terms of Use. We are not a healthcare or mental health treatment practice. That service description does not remove privacy obligations that may apply to information we handle.
This does not mean that booking records, messages, security information, or ordinary technical data needed to operate Zoom and other service providers are not processed.
2. Information We Collect
Contact and booking information. We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, selected session, scheduled date and time, cancellation requests, and other details needed to administer your booking. We may request confirmation that you are an adult and the country and state or other jurisdiction where you will participate, including information reasonably needed to evaluate a request for temporary international participation.
Payment information. Customer payments are processed through GoDaddy Payments. We do not store your full payment card number or security code. GoDaddy Payments processes information needed to authorize and settle transactions, and we may receive information needed to confirm payment, maintain transaction records, issue refunds, or resolve a payment dispute, such as the amount, payment status, transaction reference, and limited payment-method information.
Information you communicate. We receive information in emails, inquiries, contact forms, Website Chat, and other written messages you choose to send. GoDaddy Conversations may consolidate communications from connected channels into an internal inbox so that we can view and respond to customer communications. During a live listening session, the listener hears what you say and, for video, sees what you choose to show. You decide what to discuss; sensitive information disclosed voluntarily is still information we receive. Please do not send medical records, identification documents, payment card details, or unnecessary information about other people through ordinary email, Website Chat, contact forms, or booking fields.
Website and technical information. Our Website and service providers may process your IP address, browser and device information, website activity, security signals, and connection details. Online session platforms may process information such as display names, meeting identifiers, connection times, and diagnostic data. This is distinct from a recording or transcript of a session.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to arrange and deliver sessions, confirm eligibility and any approved temporary travel exception, communicate about bookings and inquiries, process payments and refunds, maintain necessary administrative records, operate and improve the Website, prevent fraud and misuse, and respond to privacy requests. We may also use information as reasonably necessary to address a specific safety concern, comply with law, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
We do not use session conversations as material for advertising or AI model training. We do not treat acceptance of our Terms of Use as consent to every optional use of personal information. Where applicable law requires separate consent for sensitive information, cookies, marketing, or another purpose, that consent must be obtained separately before the relevant activity.
4. Confidentiality and Limits on Disclosure
We treat conversations respectfully and limit disclosure to what is needed for the purposes described in this Policy and permitted by law. Sessions do not create therapist-patient, physician-patient, or attorney-client privilege. We cannot promise that information will never be disclosed.
Information may be disclosed with your permission, to providers who help us operate the Services, in response to a valid legal demand or legal obligation, or where reasonably necessary and legally permitted to address a serious safety concern, fraud, abuse, or a specific dispute. A safety disclosure is not a promise that we monitor, identify, or intervene in every emergency.
Our policy against routine session notes does not prohibit retaining the limited information genuinely necessary to meet a legal obligation or address a specific safety incident or dispute. Any such retention must be limited to its lawful purpose. We do not make routine recordings or conversation summaries for these purposes.
5. Service Providers and Other Disclosures
We use GoDaddy for Website hosting, the website builder, appointment or booking functionality, and GoDaddy Conversations for internal management of connected customer communications; GoDaddy Payments for payment processing; Zoom for online sessions; and Google reCAPTCHA for security and abuse prevention. At launch, the GoDaddy AI website chatbot is disabled. We also do not use the separate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Tag, Google Tag Manager, or Google AdSense integrations at launch. If we later enable a feature that materially changes our information practices, we will update this Policy and provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.
Some providers process information on our behalf for particular business functions and may also process information independently under their own privacy notices. GoDaddy’s Global Privacy Notice includes GoDaddy Payments among the GoDaddy entities it covers and explains that GoDaddy may act as a processor when a customer controls personal data for its own business purposes. Provider notices do not replace this Policy or remove our responsibility for information handled by us or on our behalf.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not authorize the sale of session conversations or their disclosure for advertising. Optional website tracking or advertising uses remain subject to any applicable notice, consent, and opt-out requirements.
6. Cookies, reCAPTCHA, and Website Controls
Cookies and similar technologies may support essential Website functions, security, booking functionality, and the operation of Google reCAPTCHA. We use GoDaddy's cookie-notification feature. GoDaddy Advanced Tracking is disabled at launch, and the separate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Tag, Google Tag Manager, and Google AdSense integrations are not enabled at launch. If nonessential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies are enabled later, we will update this Policy and use any notice, consent, or opt-out controls required by applicable law.
You may use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and use any privacy controls provided on the Website. Blocking cookies may prevent some features from working. Optional cookies or tracking that require consent must not operate before that consent is obtained. Any legally required opt-out preference signal must be honored where it applies to our processing.
7. Information Retention
We retain contact, booking, payment, refund, and correspondence records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including administration, applicable accounting or legal obligations, security, and resolution of disputes. The relevant period depends on the type and sensitivity of information, the reason it was collected, whether it is still needed, and any applicable legal requirement.
We do not maintain a routine library of session recordings, transcripts, or conversation notes. Live transmission and a provider’s technical logs are distinct from such a library. When information under our control is no longer needed and no legal requirement justifies retention, we delete it or deidentify it, subject to applicable law and the way relevant backup systems operate.
8. Security and Your Choices During Sessions
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information we handle. No Website, email service, device, or communications platform can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use a private setting and protect access to your device, account, and meeting details. Do not share session links with unauthorized persons.
Our Terms prohibit unauthorized session recordings, transcription, and AI meeting assistants. We cannot guarantee the conduct of every participant or eliminate every technical risk. We will address security incidents and provide legally required notices where applicable.
9. Your Requests and Privacy Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information under our control by emailing theventhaus@gmail.com. Describe your request without including unnecessary sensitive information. We may request information reasonably needed to verify identity or an authorized representative’s authority before responding.
Depending on your location and the law applicable to our processing, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of your information, withdraw consent, restrict certain sensitive-data uses, opt out of specified processing, or appeal a decision. We will honor rights that apply, explain any lawful limitation or denial, and provide required appeal information. You may also contact the appropriate privacy regulator or attorney general.
A deletion request may be subject to lawful retention duties or exceptions, and withdrawing information or consent needed to provide a session may prevent us from delivering that session. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Our contact details are not monitored as a crisis service.
10. Sensitive and Consumer Health Information
Because listening sessions concern personal experiences and emotions, you may voluntarily share information that some state laws characterize as sensitive information or consumer health data, including information relating to mental or emotional health. We do not ask you to provide medical records, diagnoses, or clinical treatment information, and we do not record, transcribe, or maintain routine notes of listening-session conversations. Where applicable law requires a separate consumer health data notice, consent, authorization, or rights process, we will provide that notice or process separately. This general Privacy Policy does not replace a separate notice that applicable law requires to be maintained and linked independently.
11. Children and Teenagers
The Services are intended for adults. We do not offer sessions to persons under eighteen, including with parental permission, and do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under thirteen. Do not submit a child’s personal information to arrange a session. If you believe a child or teenager has supplied personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
12. Location and International Access
The Website may be accessible internationally, but paid listening services are generally limited to eligible adults physically located in the United States during their sessions. An existing client who previously received the Services while physically located in the United States may be permitted to participate during temporary travel outside the United States only if The Vent Haus has approved that temporary international participation in advance. Such approval is limited and does not mean that the Services are generally offered or marketed in the country involved.
Authorized The Vent Haus personnel may, when lawful and operationally appropriate, administer the Services or access information while temporarily outside the United States. Our service providers may also process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. As a result, personal information may be subject to the laws and lawful demands of jurisdictions outside the United States. We do not promise that all information remains in the United States. International Website access, temporary client travel, or temporary travel by The Vent Haus personnel does not waive mandatory privacy rights or automatically establish that the Services are available in every country. Country-specific requirements may apply and will be reviewed when relevant.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. The revised version will state its effective date and last updated date. We will provide additional notice and obtain fresh consent where required before applying a material change. Continuing to use the Website does not waive a consent requirement imposed by law.
